BATANG MANDALEÑO SPORTS MEDALISTS

Mayor Menchie Abalos presents the Mandaleño athletes who conquered various sporting events in the country. In the Batang Pinoy Luzon Leg held in Isabela,a gold, three silvers and six bronze medals were won in Arnis; a bronze in basketball; gold and silver for badminton, a gold medal in boxing; two golds in chess; and two silvers and three bronze in dancesport, while a silver medal was won in table tennis at the 62nd Palarong Pambansa held Davao City. This medal-haul is testament to the dynamic sports programs instituted by the city government under Mayor Menchie. Also in photo is Noel Bernardo, head of the Mandaluyong Sports Development Office.
