Mandaluyong City Mayor Benhur Abalos, was conferred the prestigious Civility Star Award by the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI) during the recent Morning Program of the city for his various efforts in enhancing the city’s image, championing economic development and improving quality of life through courteous communication and actions. The City of Mandaluyong, cited as ranking among the best in the world in terms of civility advocacy, also was awarded a plaque of appreciation by the Sibilidad Tungo sa Pag-unlad Movement with the appropriate slogan, “It feels good to do good!”. Both awards are a first in the Philippines.
