The City Accountant takes charge of the internal audit system of local government funds.
She is tasked with monitoring the city’s financial condition and preparation of financial statements for the Mayor, the Sanggunian and other officials of the city. He has the authority to certify the availability of budgetary allotment to where expenditures may be charged and to review all documents in the preparation of disbursement vouchers.
She takes charge of the Office of the City Accountant which maintains all records related to local government finance.
