The City Social Welfare and Development Officer handles the development of plans, strategies and with the approval of the mayor implements them, particularly those concerning social welfare programs and projects.
She is at the frontline of service delivery and provides immediate relief assistance during and in the aftermath of disasters and calamities.
She recommends to the Sangguniang Panlungsod and advises the City Mayor on all other matters related to social welfare and development services aimed at improving the livelihood and living conditions of city residents.
