The City Treasurer takes custody of local government funds and such other funds entrusted to her by law.
She is tasked with the proper management of public finance and the inspection of establishments within the jurisdiction of the city in relation to the implementation of tax ordinances. She is also responsible for maintaining and updating the tax information system of the City.
The City Treasurer is appointed by the Secretary of Finance from a list of eligibles recommended by the City Mayor. She is under the administrative supervision of the Mayor, to whom she reports to regularly regarding the revenue collection efforts of the City and the disposition of local government funds.
