Mandaluyong Donates to Affected Families of Taal Volcano Eruption

Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos anchored the city delegation, composed of select department heads, in turning over on Friday, January 17, the donations for the displaced evacuees of the recent Taal Volcano eruption at the Padre Pio Shrine in Sto. Tomas, Batangas and at the Provincial Sports Complex in Batangas City. The group was welcomed by Batangas Governor Hermilando “Dodo” Mandanas.

With the initiative and solid commitment of Mayor Abalos and the City Council, along with the support of Mandaleños, the city has extended assistance for some 5,000 families that includes cash donation, evacuation tents, grocery bags, sleeping mats, t-shirts, slippers and sacks of rice.
