MANDALUYONG INTENSIFIES CAMPAIGN AGAINST ILLEGAL DRUGS

Mandaluyong City Mayor Carmelita Abalos intensifies campaign against illegal drugs by conducting a forum with real estate developers, homeowners associations and community leaders. Held recently, Mayor Abalos has requested particularly the homeowners to be vigilant at all times of any suspicious activities in their respective subdivision or condominium unit and immediately report the matter to the police.

Mayor Abalos has been conducting “Ugnayan sa Barangay”, a project she initiated July of this year which is an open forum with the constituents done in one barangay of the city every Saturday. Varying issues from peace and order, garbage, traffic, available social services, ordinances and other topics peculiar in that barangay are being discussed to immediately resolve existing concerns raised by the constituents.

Mayor Abalos has instructed city officials and local law enforcers to closely coordinate with the Mandaluyong Police in the city’s no let up drive against illegal drugs activities.
