MANDALUYONG’S PRIDE: FIRST FEMALE POLICE GENERAL

Philippine National Police (PNP) Police Brigadier General Maria Asuncion de la Paz Placino (5th, left) was given recognition by Mayor Menchie Abalos (5th right) and other city officials for becoming the first female to reach the rank of general in the PNP. Madaluyong City is proud of Gen. Placino who grew up in Barangka Ilaya and studied at Ilaya Barangka Elementary School and San Felipe Neri Parochial School during her youth. She is the current executive officer of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations for Southern Luzon.
