Renato R. Lopez

Renato R. Lopez is the son of the former Mayor Isaac Lopez of Mandaluyong and was married to Soledad Reyes, a former Vice Mayor of Mandaluyong. He served the Municipality of Mandaluyong as Police Lieutenant and Chief of Mobile Patrol Division of Mandaluyong Police Station. He ran for Vice Mayor in 1963 and won. He served until 1971 after which he became Mayor in 1972 until 1980. In his initiative, he proposed the creation of the Mandaluyong High School in Barangay Poblacion. One of the public schools in Mandaluyong is named after him, the Renato Lopez Elementary School in Barangay Buayang Bato.
