Estanislao “Junis” Villaraza Alim III is serving his second term as City Councilor of the 1st District of Mandaluyong City.
He is the son of Edna S. Villaraza and Estanislao M. Alim II, from Donsol, Sorsogon. He is married to Joyce Jaucian-Alim and a father of three. He finished his degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Colegio de San Juan de Letran and also took up (for completion) Master’s Degree in Public Administration at Jose Rizal University.
Before his election in 2019 as a City Councilor, he was elected as Barangay Councilor in Barangay Addition Hills from 2013. He also served as the founding Chairman of Iribahan Kan Mga Bicolano sa Mandaluyong created in 2015 and formalized in the year 2016 which conducts community services within the city. Currently, he is serving as a Board Member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles Philippine Eagles- a fraternal socio-civic organization in our country and also, a businessman with years of experience in residential and building construction with hardware and construction supply here in Mandaluyong City.
As a member of the 11th City Council, he was able to legislate more than 265 Resolutions and 120 Ordinances. Among his projects and programs from 2019-2022, are Turnover of Fire Extinguisher and Fire Disaster Preparedness Orientation, Peace and Conflict Resolution Seminar, Free Eye Check Up (Cataract Operation), Wheelchair Distribution, Nebulizer Kit, Blood Pressure Kit, Kariton Pangkabuhayan, Beauty Caravan, among others.
Currently in the 12th City Council, he serves as Chairperson of Committee on Peace and Order, Public Safety, Fire Protection, and Dangerous Drugs; Vice Chairperson of Committee on Barangay Affairs; Member of Committees on Labor, Employment and Manpower Development, Transportation, Traffic, Communications and Tricycle Franchising Board, and Ways and Means.
