MANDALUYONG IS NOW THE HOLDER OF THE GREEN BANNER AWARD

Mandaluyong City was cited as the 2010 City Nutrition Awardee (Best in Nutrition Program Management and Implementation) in Metro Manila by the National Nutrition Council (NNC).  Mandaluyong City Mayor Benjamin C. Abalos and City Nutrition Action Officer Carmelita Abalos receive the plaque and the green banner award during the annual awarding ceremony of the NNC at Shangri-la Hotel.  The city also grabbed the Best in Documentation of Nutrition Program for 2nd consecutive years  while Barangay Nutrition Scholar Ma. Theresa Candelario is consistently cited as Outstanding BNS for 2010.  Also in photo are the city and barangay officials and the members of the local nutrition committee.
