the celebration of the 24th Anniversary of the Philippine Local Government Code and the launching of the Local Government Leadership Awards (LGLA)

Mandaluyong City Mayor Benjamin DC. Abalos, Jr., as one of the 2003 Local Government Leadership awardees (Outstanding Mayor) will share his exemplary practices in local governance to the participants in the 2014 International Conference on Public Administration with the theme “Public Administration and Governance Reforms and Innovations” on October 9 – 11, 2014 at the Waterfront Hotel in Davao City organized by the Philippine Society for Public Administration (PSPA) in cooperation with its various partners.With issues confronting the public sector today, and aiming to create a dialogue among scholars and practitioners of public administration and public policy to address various challenges in the field of public affairs, this year’s conference is designed to attract a global audience including academics and professionals from government agencies, universities, think tanks, non-profit and private sectors and will also highlight two major activities in local governance – the celebration of the 24^th Anniversary of the Philippine Local Government Code and the launching of the Local Government Leadership Awards (LGLA).
