Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos signs the Memorandum of Agreement on the Bottom-up Budgeting (BuB) Scholarship Program of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority at the recent Monday Morning Program of the city. 175 beneficiaries recommended by the City Social Welfare and Development Division, Nutrition Office and the Urban Poor Office will undergo the 10-day upgraded technical-vocational short courses at the Mandaluyong Manpower Training Center. The program, conducted in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government, is consistent with the goal of poverty reduction, inclusive growth and good local governance promotion embodied in the Philippine Development Plan. Signing with Mayor Abalos are Vice Mayor Anthony Suva, TESDA District Director Ma. Lourdes Villanueva and City Councilors, Manpower Officer-in-Charge Merly Tampinco and the City Councilors.
